Marcelo Gulão Pimentel (2023-2024)
Randolpho Radsack Correa (2024-2025)

Holds a Bachelor's degree in History from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2004), a Lato-Sensu Postgraduate degree in Modern History from the Universidade Federal Fluminense (2006), a Master's degree in Health from the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (2014), and a PhD in History from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2019). Currently undertaking postdoctoral research at LEPIDE/NUESHE (UNIVERSO); member of the project 'Allan Kardec: vida, obra e influências' funded by FAPEMIG; researcher for the Projeto Allan Kardec (UFJF); and organizer of the thematic dossier 'Allan Kardec: vida, ideias, obras e influências' for Revista Horizonte (PUC-Minas). Has experience in the field of History, with emphasis on Modern and Contemporary History, working primarily on the following themes: Allan Kardec, Spiritism, mediumship, History of Religion, and modern spiritualism. Has been a History professor at the Colégio Naval since 2005, with a focus on Maritime and Naval History. Organized the book 'A Armada Imperial e a Independência do Brasil: Outros olhares, novas perspectivas' (2023), funded by FAPERJ.

He holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in History from the Graduate Program in History at Universidade Salgado de Oliveira. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in History from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences, and Letters of Carangola (Minas Gerais), affiliated with the Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais (UEMG). From 2010 to 2012, he served as Director of the Municipal Museum and Historical Archive of Carangola (Minas Gerais), where he spearheaded a project to reorganize the municipality’s Historical Documentation Center. Between 2014 and 2019, he was a professor and coordinator of the History program at UEMG’s Carangola campus.

He is affiliated with the following CNPq (Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) research groups: Society, Culture, and Labor in the Zona da Mata Mineira Region, 18th–20th Centuries and Slaveholding Societies in the Americas. His current research focuses on the History of Crime in Brazil, with an emphasis on the Zona da Mata Mineira region. Presently, he holds the position of Municipal Secretary of Culture, Tourism, and Historical Heritage in Carangola, Minas Gerais.

Islene da Conceição Freitas (2023-2024)

She is a researcher in the field of Civil and Military Education, focusing on sociocultural and public policy perspectives. She holds a Ph.D. in Teaching in Biociences and Health from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz/RJ) and a Master’s degree in Education, Culture, and Communication in Urban Peripheries from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Additionally, she completed postgraduate studies in Mathematics and earned both a Bachelor’s degree and a teaching licensure in Mathematics. She is also a pedagogue and a children’s book author.

Grit Kirstin Koeltzsch (2023-2024)

She holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the National University of Jujuy (UNJu) and a Master’s degree in Theory and Methodology of the Social Sciences from the same institution. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology (Licenciatura) from the National University of Salta (UNSa). Currently, she serves as a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering (UNJu), where she teaches the following undergraduate courses for the programs in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Food Technology (LTA): Scientific Research Methodology, Professional Training Workshop, and Seminar on Epistemology of Science.

She is also the Director of the Center for Indigenous and Colonial Studies (CEIC-UNJu) and has experience in implementing transdisciplinary research projects. Her scholarly work explores the intersections between the body, dance, movement, sensibilities, and emotions within contemporary global societies, examining their historical, political, and cultural dimensions. As such, her research is inherently transdisciplinary. Additionally, she develops innovative qualitative methodologies that incorporate diverse forms of knowledge, including autoethnographic approaches.

Celestino Vaz Tomas Jone Joanguete (2023-2024)

Professor and researcher at the School of Communication and Arts of Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique, holds a PhD in Communication Sciences from the University of Minho (2013), a postgraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from Anhanguera University (2023), a postgraduate degree in Political Journalism from the University of Porto, Portugal (2004), a bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences from Fernando Pessoa University-Porto (2002), a bachelor's degree in Theology from São Pio X Major Seminary-Maputo (1996), a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Santo Agostinho Seminary Matola-Maputo (1993), and a Postdoctoral degree in Environmental Education Sciences (2024). Author of several notable books, such as "Mozambican Press: From Paper to Digital," "The Migration of Digital Television in Mozambique: Process, Business Model and Conflicts," "Principles of Artificial Intelligence Regulation," "The Power of Digital Lies: The Threat of Deepfakes to Society," and the book "Legal Writing with ChatGPT," "Digital Citizenship: Exploring Opportunities and Facing Challenges," in addition to dozens of scientific articles published in national and international journals. In 2023, he was awarded the title of Eminent Educator by Ricardo Palma University in Lima, Peru, and International Academic Doctor by the International College of Doctors. He is currently a Visiting Professor at POSCOM at UFSM. His research focuses on Media, Journalism and the application of Artificial Intelligence to Communication.

Enrique Normando Cruz (2018-2019)

PhD in Social Sciences from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro - PUC/RJ, 2015, with research on Military Colleges. Holds a Master's degree in Education from Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, UNIRIO, 2007. Currently heads the Postgraduate Section of the Center for Strategic Educational Studies, located at the Center for Personnel Studies, which is a Higher Education, Extension and Research Institute of the Brazilian Army, responsible for specializations in the area of Social and Human Sciences. Has experience in the field of education, with emphasis on sociology of education, working mainly on the following themes: education; preparatory, assistance and welfare education; group culture analysis and imaginary; sociology of military education; military identity.

Maria da Conceição Vilela Franco (2022-2023)

PhD (in 2019) and Master's (in 2009) in Social History, respectively, from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro - UNIRIO and from Salgado de Oliveira University (UNIVERSO). Graduated (2006) in History from Salgado de Oliveira University (UNIVERSO). Was a Basic Education teacher at C.E.M. Raul Veiga/Glicério, Macaé/RJ, tutor-professor of History of Brazil I and Modern History II of the Blended Undergraduate History Course at UNIRIO/Polo Cantagalo-RJ and in the State Education Network at C.E. Matias Neto/Macaé, RJ. Currently is professor of Contemporary History I, Research and Teaching Practice Laboratory in History, History and Visual Sources, History of Rio de Janeiro, Colonial Brazil and Republic III in the History Licensure Course at the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Macaé (FAFIMA/RJ). Develops research in the area of Regional History, with emphasis on Slavery, History of Death, especially about Cemeteries, Burials and Religiosities. Had her Master's Dissertation awarded in the Funemac Literary Contest (2015) - Macaé City Hall. Charleston Jose de Sousa Assis (2016-2018)

Charleston José de Sousa Assis is a graduate and licensed historian from the Federal Fluminense University, where he completed his Master's degree, supervised by Dr. Márcia Motta, and his PhD, supervised by Dr. Laura Maciel, both in Social History. One of his research projects was turned into a book titled Popular Classes, Political Culture, and Revolt in Rio de Janeiro (1984-1987). Between 2016 and 2018, he conducted postdoctoral research at the History Program of the Universidade Salgado de Oliveira, under the supervision of Dr. Marly Vianna. He has been teaching History since 2000 at elementary (regular and EJA), high school, and university levels. At different times, or simultaneously, he has worked as a professor in public schools in the cities and states of Rio de Janeiro, Duque de Caxias, Niterói, Magé, and Guapimirim. Between 2004 and 2012, he worked as a professor at Universidade Salgado de Oliveira. He has experience in History, with an emphasis on Republican Brazilian History and in historical research methodology and History teaching. He also worked in the Distance Learning program at the aforementioned university between 2006 and 2014, as a professor and tutor in undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as coordinating the undergraduate History program (both in-person and EaD), and finally, as the Manager of the Distance Education Department. He also participated in various processes for evaluating History textbooks for the National Textbook Program (PNLD). He is currently a History professor at the Federal Fluminense University (UFF), assigned to the Colégio Universitário Geraldo Reis (Coluni), where he teaches History and serves as the director of that academic unit.

Fernando Velôzo Gomes Pedrosa (2021-2022)

Reserve officer of the Brazilian Army, Bachelor in Military Sciences from the Military Academy of Agulhas Negras (1978), Master in History from the Graduate Program in Comparative History at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2013), and Doctor in History from the same program (2018). He completed the course at the Officer Improvement School (1988) and the courses in High Military Studies (1994) and in Politics, Strategy, and Senior Army Administration (2005) at the Army Command and General Staff School. He was an instructor at the Military Academy of Agulhas Negras (AMAN), the Army Command and General Staff School (ECEME), and the Military Studies Center of Guatemala as a guest instructor. He served as the deputy commander and deputy director of teaching at AMAN from 2007 to 2009. He currently works as a collaborator professor of Military History at EsAO and ECEME. He has experience in the fields of Defense, Strategy, Military History, Public Administration, and Military Education.

Patricia Alejandra Fogelman (2015-2015)

He holds a degree in History (University Teaching) from the National University of Lujan (1991), a degree in History (Licenciatura) from the National University of Lujan (1996), a Master's degree in Latin American History from the International University of Andalusia (2000), a PhD from the University of Buenos Aires (2003), and a PhD from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (2003). He has completed 3 postdoctoral fellowships in Brazil (UFES, UNISINOS, and UNIVERSO) and 1 in France (EHESS). He is an Independent Researcher at CONICET in Argentina, where he resides. Currently, he is the Director of the TRANSVERSAL- GRAMa Research Program: Gender, Religion, Art, and Materialities, at the MATERIA Center of the IIAC at the National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF), Argentina. He is also the coordinator of the Group for Studies on Religiosity and Evangelization (GERE) at UNTREF and the coordinator of the Group for Studies on the History of Brazil and Portugal (GEHBP) at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). In addition to his work as a historian, he is a queer cultural manager and performer. He has experience in cultural history, with an emphasis on Latin American History and studies on images and gender, focusing mainly on the following topics: comparative history of Brazil and the Río de la Plata, religiosity, images, and contemporary queer studies. He organizes the Argentine-Brazilian Workshop on Comparative History (WAB), held alternately in Buenos Aires and Brazil.

José Gil Vicente (2014-2019)

Member of the CNPq research groups: Society, Culture, and Labor in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais, 18th-20th centuries, and Politics, Society, and Economy of Brazil in the Long 19th Century. He has experience in the areas of: Education; Historical Heritage; 19th-century Brazilian History; Urban Slave Societies in Brazil and the Americas; History of Slavery in the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais in the 19th century; 19th-century History of Minas Gerais; Methodology of History. He mainly works on the following topics: urban slavery; 19th-century Minas Gerais; slave societies in the cities of the Americas in the 19th century; manumission; precarization of freedom; urban slavery in the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais, and comparative analysis of slave societies.

Caio da Silva Batista (2020-2021)

He holds a Bachelor's degree in History from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2004), a Master's degree (2007), and a PhD (2016) in Comparative History from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He has experience in History, with an emphasis on History, primarily working on the following topics: Saint Anthony, Franciscans, Medieval Church, Medieval Sermons, and Medieval Bestiaries.
