Scholarships for Up to 100% of Tuition

Annually, through the selective process, UNIVERSO offers 20 spots for the Master's program and 8 spots for the Doctoral program, some of which, in accordance with the Public Notices, will have full tuition exemptions. Additionally, through its Affirmative Action Policy, a portion of the spots will be reserved for self-declared Black (African descent and mixed-race) candidates, Indigenous people, transgender individuals (transvestites and transsexuals), applicants for refugee or humanitarian visas, refugees or immigrants with humanitarian visas, and people with disabilities, as outlined in the Public Notices. Thus, UNIVERSO fulfills its social role in contributing to the qualification of researchers and university professors.

The Master's program in Brazilian History, approved on December 21, 2006, according to Opinion No. 165/2006, and the Doctoral program, approved on July 4, 2017, according to Opinion No. 145/2017, both published in the Official Federal Gazette, prioritize the exercise of scientific reflection on academic issues and pedagogical practices within the field of History. This concern aims to deepen the theoretical and methodological knowledge of professionals in History and related fields, preparing them for higher education teaching and research.

Expanded Historical Horizons

A postgraduate program focused on History that embraces comparative studies with other historical realities, extending its interests to the Americas, Africa, and Europe. Students will aim to critically study the stages of the process of constructing the scientific method: delimiting the analytical corpus and a theoretical framework, formulating hypotheses, the internal logic of argumentation, and the dissemination of the knowledge produced.
